Investing: Are We In ForThe Big One?

February 28th, 2007 · No Comments · Cat-in-a-bag

They call it a “tumble”, but it is the biggest drop since 911, so now the conversation ( which for those interested has been going on for quite some time) is debating how long lasting the direction will be. Some say this and [...]

Is there judgment in the earth?

February 28th, 2007 · No Comments · Cogitations

In response to the quote from Ecclesiastes,”For God will bring every deed into judgment,
including every hidden thing,
whether it is good or evil.”
Maryam wrote:
“But what about judgement while on earth?”

…which started me thinking….
That is one of the big questions. There is a quote I came across years ago:
The wheels of justice turn slowly, but grind exceedingly [...]

Some of this and some of that…

February 25th, 2007 · 1 Comment · Cat-in-a-bag

Some family is in town since we had a memorial service yesterday. My son went with me today to get much needed memory for my computer. Blew the dust out of the old thing and updated with twice as much RAM – everything works sooooo much better.

Much thanks to the Shamrock Club and the [...]

Two neato things:
For those of you who have not upgraded Firefox… once you do you find it has an automatic spell check. This is a boon for all my blog readers, my blog, and -because of all the comments I make online- other peoples blogs. It saves a world of typos. That means I [...]

Drowning in Spam

February 20th, 2007 · 1 Comment · Culture-media

My server is often down due to it, and occasionally I lose a comment in the squeeze between trying to delete multiple hundreds of spam mails at a time and my own slow connection. That happened today.
My apologies to Curtis Verdun who wrote what promised to be a relevant and interesting comment. This is all [...]

Art-ful Thinking

February 19th, 2007 · 3 Comments · Culture-media

Rusty commented to the Christians and Art post:
It may be that realistic art is bound by its realistic parameters to only portray what is merely evident by the five senses. The five senses then direct how one reasons through the art. By contrast, abstract art gives the mind priority, if only for a moment, to [...]

Changes That Heal

February 19th, 2007 · 2 Comments · Critics Choice

That is the title of the book I’ve recently read and my husband is now ( sporadically- he is not much of a reader) going through. I picked it up in lieu of the ‘Boundaries’ book, which seemed so hard to find. It just so happened that the bookstore had supplied a seminar with all [...]

Realism

February 18th, 2007 · No Comments · Contemplations

I gave you all a peek into the real parts of my own life that weren’t all so pretty. When was the last time you read a Christian woman blogger admit to you that she had a fight with her husband and then audaciously, publicly says it is due to more of his passive – [...]
